1. Popular fish and chip shop announces closure after nine years in business
A popular fish and chip shop is set to close after almost a decade of service within the Reading community.
Finn’s, located on Hatherley Road in East Reading, is a local restaurant specialising in traditional fish and chips.
After nine years of business, the restaurant has announced that they will be closing their doors at the end of this month.

2. New over 25s nightclub opens near Reading to Newbury
An exciting new venue is opening up near Reading for those who haven’t quite hung up their dancing shoes just yet.
Reloaded is a new bar and nightclub for those aged 25 and over and it will be situated at 7-9 Wharf St Market Place Newbury.
Created by husband and wife team Sonja Wall, 37, and Mike Wall, 40, the new venue is hoping to host some fabulous nights of 80s, 90s, and 00s music.

3. Burger joint closes with emotional goodbye message to customers
The husband and wife team behind one of the ‘best rated’ burger joints in Reading have sadly announced that they are closing the business down.
The Smash N Grab burger hut at Cemetery Junction in East Reading was opened by husband and wife team Farouk Bhatti and Uzma Qadir.
A post on the burger joint Instagram page states: “It is with the saddest of hearts that we must tell you, that we are announcing the closure of Smash N Grab.

4. Tim Hortons on its way to open in Berkshire this year
A new diner café is on its way to opening its first location in Berkshire soon.
The Canadian restaurant chain Tim Hortons was launched by the famous hockey player in 1964 and has become known for its brilliant breakfasts, sweet treats and burgers ever since.
Tim Hortons already has a sizeable presence in the UK, with a total of 78 locations.

5. Burst water main causes severe delays in Reading
Commuters are sat bumper to bumper after a burst water main is cordoned off on Reading Road.
A section of this road has been closed off as large puddles of water are seen flowing across the left-hand side lane.
Traffic is piled up on the right-hand lane as traffic management is put in place.
