DETECTIVES are hunting for a man after a dog walker was attacked with a screwdriver in a park.

The shocking attack happened in King's Meadow at about 7.10pm on Saturday, April 9.

A 54-year-old man was walking his dog in the park when a group of youths drove their moped up and down the pedestrian path.

Police said they were driving very close to the victim's dog.

When the dog walker challenged the group they turned aggressive before thrusting a screwdriver into the man's leg.

The victim has been left with a small wound to his thigh.

Thames Valley Police has released an image of a person who may have vital information relating to the attack.

The group fled the scene and haven't been found since.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Alex Willis, based at Reading police station, said: “This was a violent assault, and I would like to speak to the person shown in this image, as I believe he could have vital information about the incident.
