Reports from the South-Coast suggest that Reading youngster Princewill Ehibhatiomhan is on trial with Southampton.
16-year-old Ehibhatiomhan, younger brother of Royals first team striker Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, scored for Saints in a 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace in the Under-18s Premier League.
Alfie House, of Reading Chronicle sister paper Southampton Echo, understands he is training with the Premier League outfit but it is unsure as to whether a permanent deal will be pursued.
Not the first club Ehibhatiomhan has reportedly trialled for, reports earlier in the season claimed he was with European giants Chelsea after turning down a new deal with the Royals.
Reading’s academy has taken a hit this season after the Premier League reassigned them from category one to category two, meaning they now compete in the Professional Development League.

At 16-years-old, any fee to acquire Ehibhatiomhan would be based on development and training years at Reading and he could not have a professional deal ratified until he turns 17 next month.
Ehibhatiomhan scored six in 13 matches for the Under-18s last season, and opened the club's account in last season's FA Youth Cup.
