Huddersfield Town boss has denied reports that he contacted the EFL regarding Burnley making six changes for their clash with Reading.

Reports broke over the weekend that the veteran boss was unhappy with Vincent Kompany's decision to bring in a whole host of changes for their 0-0 draw with the Royals earlier in the month.

It is believed that the Football League have contacted the already-promoted Clarets over the decision, but the Terriers boss admitted he was unsure where it came from.

Reading Chronicle:

Speaking to Ally McCoist and Laura Woods on TalkSport, Warnock said: "I don’t think we’ve reported them, all we’ve said is that I wish we were playing Burnley now, when you look at the results they’ve got. I would imagine the league have just seen my comments and taken it on board. I haven’t [contacted them], not at all.

"When you look at the points that Burnley have picked up, Rotherham and getting beat at QPR, sometimes in this run-in it looks like it’s going to go down to a decision by a referee or a bit of luck and that’s what it’s going to go down to. It’s so close. It does leave a little sour taste when you look at the team sheet but there you go, it’s happened to me before. You just have to take it on the chin."
