Reading has been dubbed by the organisation Fabulous Vegas the UK’s 14th top city for thrifting, with 20,040 searches for second-hand shops over the last year.

With that in mind, here is a list of the charity shops found in Reading Town’s Centre.

Cancer Research, Broad Street

Reading Chronicle:

Here you can find loads of funky shirts that are perfect to spice up any work outfit. The store also has a whole assortment of chunky black boots and heels in every colour of the rainbow.

The men’s section of this store was also pretty decked out with loads of knit jumpers and work wear.

British Heart Foundation, Broad Street

Reading Chronicle:

We found loads of cool bits and bobs in this shop, including loads of affordable dresses. They also had a lot of hats, scarves, and gloves, perfect for the colder days ahead!

Among the everyday wear, the store was also ready for spooky season with a whole range of Halloween costumes.

Cancer Research, Friar Street

Reading Chronicle:

This shop was full of hidden designer gems for a fraction of the price! We found brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and Calvin Klein among the bargains.

They also regularly promote a £3 sale that had loads of really pretty tops and shirts.
