On Thursday 2nd May 2024 Langley hall primary academy celebrated culture day. Culture Day is an extremely significant tradition because it promotes cultural appreciation, global awareness, inclusivity, heritage preservation, and provides a form of academic enrichment for the children. We saw so many children and teachers dressed in their traditional clothes.

'Enough is enough!' Pangbourne residents OUTRAGE over teens kicking villagers' doors

Residents of Pangbourne have expressed that they have 'had enough' after a group of teenagers are reportedly consistently kicking the doors of people's homes.  This same group of youngsters have been playing this 'prank' on neighbours in Pangbourne for a number of months now, and many have urged those affected to go to Thames Valley Police about the disturbance. 

Nine-year-old girl donates almost £7000 through selling her paintings

At just 9 years old, Amelie Turnbull has now donated nearly £7000 by selling her paintings as greeting cards in local shops. At just 7 years old she started painting with watercolours and was given an order of 150 cards by Nood Stores in Caversham in September 2021, which became the start of Little Amelie Art.

Residents advised to 'take care' after adders spotted in Berkshire

Adders, a poisonous snake rarely seen out and about in the UK, have been seen slithering around due to the warm weather we are currently experiencing.  Newbury resident Simon Kirby posted a photograph of the small snake to social media along with words of advise for anyone who may encounter them. 

Ascot residents step out on Community Footpath Walk

Residents of Ascot recently dusted off their hiking boots, rain jackets, and walking sticks to head out into the great outdoors.  Winkfield Parish Council posted numerous pictures to social media congratulating those who decided to join them for an enjoyable Community Footpath Walk.
