Members of Reading Camera Club have been out and about this autumn, capturing the changing moods of nature through their lenses. This week’s featured photographs showcase a delightful mix of movement, stillness, and seasonal colour.

A series of lively shots show horses at play in a local field, their energy and grace perfectly frozen in mid-gallop.

In contrast, a striking image of a heron standing motionless on the Thames has drawn admiration for its poise and symmetry, a natural statue reflected in the calm water.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, another photographer caught a flock of seagulls perched on a rooftop, their dark silhouettes sharply outlined against a glowing red sky. The dramatic composition highlights the beauty found in everyday moments above Reading’s skyline.

Finally, a cheerful robin perched on a frosty branch marks the arrival of November and the promise of winter scenes to come. Together, these images remind us of the richness of local wildlife and the keen eye of those who love to capture it.
