A large park in Wokingham has warned that huge spiders have been seen among the wildlife that usually dwells there.
A spokesperson for Dinton Pastures has asked the public to keep an eye out for the Raft Spider — one of the UK’s largest and most impressive spiders.
Raft Spiders can walk on water! They hunt by skating across the surface of ponds and ditches, helping to keep insect populations balanced and supporting a healthy wetland ecosystem.
If you’re lucky enough to see one, watch quietly and enjoy this rare glimpse of nature — but please don’t disturb them.
