In the Dock: Latest court results from Reading Magistrates' Court

The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Courts.

AARON JONES, 38, of 13 Montem Lane, Slough, pleaded guilty to Lindt chocolate to the value of £45, belonging to Tesco on January 26 this year. He was ordered to pay compensation of £50.

THOMAS BRAZIL, 49, of 5 Rylstone Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to stealing £5 cash from a property in Belmont Road, Reading having trespassed on November 6, 2023. He was given a community order to be completed within 12 months.

NIGEL CHARMAN, 49, of 28 Horne Road, Thatcham, West Berkshire, pleaded guilty to messaging Lisa Lovell on Instagram which was not regarding his children on February 7 in Hungerford, which was a breach of his retraining order under section 360 of the Sentencing Act 2020, imposed by Oxford Magistrates on December 12 last year. He was given a community order to be completed by February 9, 2026.

GURVINDER LALL, 37, of 63 Downs Road, Slough, pleaded guilty to drunk driving on March 1 in Gosling Road/Cockett Road, Slough after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in your urine, namely not less than 293 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of urine exceeded the prescribed limit. He was disqualified from driving and was also fined £120 for failing to surrender to police / court bail at the appointed time on February 3, 2025 at Reading, having been released on bail in criminal proceedings on 5 Sep 2024 at Reading Magistrates' Court.

JOSEPH AMUCHA, 25, of 475A Oxford Road, Reading, pleaded guilty to carrying a 12 inch kitchen knife in Reading town centre on December 21 without good reason or lawful authority. He was given a suspended sentence order of 4 months imprisonment, suspended for 18 months and issued a building better relationship rehabilitation, as well as 100 hours of unpaid work to be completed within 12 months. A  forfeiture and destruction order was made for the knife.

Rok PRECI, 28, of 6A, Vandyke Road, Leighton Buzzards, Luton, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug of Class A – Cocaine on August 23, 2023 at London in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham had in your possession 11 snapbags of cocaine. He was given a community order of 100 hours of unpaid work to be completed within 12 months and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the cocaine.

KIM MAYNARD, 50, of 47 Earlswood, Bracknell, pleaded guilty to stealing meat from BP garage in Crowthorne on February 25 this year to the value of £42. She then stole £193 worth of chocolate from the same garage on December 7 last year and meat to the value of £54.80 belonging to BP garage in Crowthorne on February 9 this year. She was given a suspended sentence order of 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £194.

DANIEL BRAHAM, 33, of 2 Grinfield Avenue, Bristol, pleaded guilty to driving whilst unfit to drive through drugs on the M4 motorway on March 1, 2025 in Newbury. He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a licence and was pleaded guilty to driving dangerously. He also had cannabis in his possession. He has been disqualified from driving for 36 months and sentenced to 18 weeks imprisonment due to having an appaling record of driving and previous records of similar offences.
