Local woman Mary King, who has Multiple Sclerosis (MS), is taking on the considerable challenge of climbing the O2 in her wheelchair on May 22 to raise funds for the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre. To donate please click here.
The Centre, which is based in Reading, provides specialised therapies and a social space for people with MS across Berkshire and surrounding areas.
It receives no NHS funding so it relies on fundraising to provide this vital service. MS is a neurological condition for which there is no cure but the therapies offered at the Centre make a huge difference to quality of life.
Mary King, who lives in Reading, has been going to the Centre for over twenty years and is full of praise for the services it provides.
She said on the centre “I find their support invaluable. From the minute you enter the building the volunteers are incredibly welcoming and friendly."
