Woodley Town Council has sent out a statement to their residents notifying them that an important path in the area has undergone an essential renovation.
Many residents in the area have previously raised concerns about the condition of the desire line path across Woodford Park Memorial Ground, saying that its current condition is unsuitable.
Since news of this broke out, Woodley Town Council have taken notice and decided to do something about the path.
A spokesperson for Woodley Town said the following statement:
"Following residents’ comments regarding the condition of the desire line path across Woodford Park Memorial Ground, the Council’s Amenities Team have been busy installing reinforced matting, which aims to improve the condition of the surface.
"The area will be cordoned off while works continue and the ground recovers. Thank you for your patience and understanding."
Residents are reminded to stay clear of the path whilst the work is carried out.
