Wokingham Borough Council has provided some valuable information on the two new special education schools that will evolve from Addington School in Woodley.

The provider of the two new SEND schools in the borough has just been announced by the council, who posted to social media information along with several adorable photos.

Ascendancy Partnership Trust will run both schools which are proposed to be based alongside each other at Rooks Nest Farm, with the DfE working towards opening in September 2026.

The trust is a newly formed multi-academy trust made up of three Berkshire special schools, evolving from Addington School in Woodley.

Wokingham Borough Council also provided a number of photographs of children playing from the opening of the new Addington Early Years centre last Autumn.

The two new schools, funded by the Department for Education, will offer 120 places each for children and young people aged four to 19.
