Raze the Roof music for charity is kicking off their concert series with two brand-new events this month.

Guests can expect two wonderful evenings of performances at the Reading Minister to 'raze' money for the Royal Berkshire Cancer Centre.

Solely Reading based musicians are expected to play at the two shows which will commence towards the end of April.

The first show will be on April 26 where organiser Mike Bostock's band The Dream Sellers will be kicking things off with a bit of folk rock.

The night will also see performances from Ma Bessie and her Pigfoot Band, The Barberettes who will be singing some acapella, and Limpopo Groove.

Attendees can also expect some surprises on the evening as some special guest acts will also take to the stage.

The second concert will take place the next day on April 27 where Selina and the Howling Dogs will perform along with The Filthy Llamas, Avenue Acapella, and further surprise special guests.

Tickets cost £10 and further donations are welcome to the cause.

Raze the Roof was launched by Mike Bostock, band member and recent cancer survivor, to raise essential funds for Reading’s Royal Berkshire Charity, specifically to benefit the Berkshire Cancer Centre.

Mr Bostock said "Sad but true, the stats say that one out of two people will get cancer in their lifetime.

"But the chances of survival are getting better every year. It’s a constant battle and the NHS needs our help to fight it."
