A family is continuing to appeal to find their unusual pet who hasn't been seen for almost a month.

Gary the rescue fox was last seen in Hare Hatch, Blakes Lane, in Berkshire on February 26.

The small fox was adopted by Iris Luppa after he was hit by a car in 2023.

Ever since then the small fox has been living with Mrs Luppa's family and is now completely tame around humans and other animals.

The family was responsible for his veterinary care and had hoped to release him back into the wild.

However, they soon realised that there was something wrong with Gary after he sat next to a lawnmower and didn't notice its loud noise.

It was then that a vet declared Gary completely deaf and unable to take care of himself.

Mrs Luppa has worked with the wildlife charity Little Foxes who initially called her to pick up Gary when he was first injured.

There have been a few possible sightings in Woosehill, Wokingham, in the last few days, but the pet fox has still not returned home.

Gary has a distinctive tilting of his head and wears a black collar with an air tag.
