Two men have been charged after an address was burgled in The Nightingales and the occupant injured last Sunday, February 25.
Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, the men have been charged with aggravated burglary.
Stephen Chandler, aged 50, and Anthony Abery, aged 44, both of Newtown Road, Newbury, were both charged with one count of aggravated burglary on Monday, February 26.
The charges relate to an aggravated burglary at an address in The Nightingales at around 6.40 am on Sunday February 25.
The occupant of the house was assaulted and was treated in hospital for head injuries. He has since been discharged.
Chandler and Abery appeared at Reading Magistrates’ Court yesterday February 27 and were remanded in custody to appear at Reading Crown Court on March 25.
