For the first time, a five-star luxury boutique hotel in Reading, The Roseate Reading, has partnered with leading cancer charity Look Good Feel Better to offer a series of skincare and make-up workshops designed to boost the confidence of people facing cancer.

Dates for forthcoming workshops at Roseate Hotel are March 14, April 18, May 16, June 13, July 18, August 15, September 19, October 17, and November 21.

The national cancer support charity understands how challenging it can be to process a cancer diagnosis and manage the physical and emotional side-effects of cancer treatment.

Look Good Feel Better runs free workshops both virtually and at Cancer Care Centres and hospitals across the UK to support women, men, and young adults through this challenging time.

The charity is delighted to be teaming up for the first time with Roseate Hotels & Resorts, which is offering its luxurious meeting & event room to host regular workshops.

General Manager of The Roseate Reading Vicky Punchaye said "We are incredibly honoured to partner with Look Good Feel Better in their mission to empower and support individuals facing cancer.

"At The Roseate Reading, we believe in the power of providing comfort and solace during challenging times.

"By opening our doors to host these workshops in our elegant setting, we hope to contribute to enhancing the well-being and confidence of those undergoing cancer treatment.

“Together, we strive to create a space where individuals can focus on self-care, positivity, and connection, away from the challenges of their diagnosis. We are truly grateful for the opportunity to support such a meaningful cause."

Head of Programme Services at Look Good Feel Better Dulcie Rowe says:

“We’ve been running workshops led by trained volunteers in the beauty industry for 30 years. They offer practical advice about changes to the skin, eyebrows, eyelashes, hair, nails, and body confidence, and a free goodie bag filled with beauty products is provided.

“We are delighted that The Roseate Reading has opened its doors to our beneficiaries, who will be able to attend our workshops in the luxury surroundings of this beautiful hotel.  It will enhance their experience, enabling them to relax and enjoy the workshops while boosting their sense of well-being and confidence.

“Every session offers an opportunity to meet others in a similar situation, ask questions, and focus on themselves and not their cancer. We aim for lots of learning and a real boost of positivity. We are extremely grateful to Roseate Reading for their support.”
