Since news of a brand new over-25s bar coming to Berkshire came to the attention of locals, over 100 people have been expressing their excitement for the nightclub opening.

Reloaded is a new bar and nightclub for those aged 25 and over and it will be situated at 7-9 Wharf St Market Place Newbury.

Created by husband and wife team Sonja Wall, 37, and Mike Wall, 40, the new venue is hoping to host some fabulous nights of 80s, 90s, and 00s music.

Dozens of people took to the comment section of the original article to share their excitement for Reloaded opening.

One user said “Can’t wait to have a night here,” with another person saying “Fabulous idea.”

A further user commented “The efforts and extremes you guys have gone to make this happen is immense! Going to be one of the best in our area.”

Mrs Wall was working at a primary school when she and her husband first decided that they wanted to create somewhere for the older generation to go out.

“It had always been a dream in the back of our minds,” she said. “If we ever went out somewhere we would think what we would do differently in various bars and clubs.”

Many expressed how excited they were at the prospect of having somewhere for the older generation to go dancing.

Plenty of accounts tagged other users encouraging them to attend the new nightclub with them.

One person wrote “We can go out and not feel too old,” with another account responding “Lets go!”

Mrs Wall said that Reloaded will fill a gap in the market in Newbury, as she believes the town is lacking somewhere similar.

She said: “It's becoming a popular busy town with loads of new properties and for a small town it is a really busy place.

“But everyone agrees that the evening nightlife has really gone downhill. There’s nothing to cater to people who are slightly older, so that’s why we are doing over 25s.”

Reloaded is hoping to eventually host bottomless brunch parties as well as a whole repertoire of themed nights.

This will include music from the 80s and 90s, jazz nights, and live performances from artists among loads of other ideas.

Mrs Wall said: “We want it to cater to everyone. It’s going to be an upmarket sort of place and we will be doing cocktails and will eventually open a kitchen to serve food.”

With four kids between them, the duo has put everything into making Reloaded happen.

Mrs Wall said there have been a lot of struggles along the way, but that the reaction from people has spurred her on.

“Nobody my age really goes out in Newbury anymore now,” she said. “So I think this will be a really special place for everyone to just kick back and have fun!”
