An appeal has been launched to try and find a man from Woodley who has been missing for a week.

Tony Brown, 82, has a very distinctive walk. People who know him say that he shuffles along using a walking stick or a crutch taking very small steps.

Mr Brown was found on the M25 when his car broke down and was assisted by police to a train station last Thursday January 18.

From there onwards he hasn’t been sighted.

Amy Belgrave posted a statement to Facebook to raise awareness and to aid the search for Mr Brown.

She said the following: "He is such a kind and polite man but doesn’t like to trouble people or ask for help.

"He may be very confused and is frail and vulnerable.

"Please keep an eye out for him and call 999 with reference 21-1299 if seen. Thank you."
