Forensic investigators are at the scene after a woman was found with stab wounds after a crash last night (January 4).
Police were called to a reported road traffic collision involving a Lexus vehicle on the A340 Tidmarsh Road at the junction with Flower’s Hill at around 5.45pm.
In the car, a 56-year-old woman had suffered a fatal stab wound. She received medical attention but sadly died at the scene.
Then at around 6.15pm, Thames Valley Police and British Transport Police officers were called to a casualty on the railway track near Pangbourne.
Sadly, an 18-year-old man died at the scene. Police are treating the two deaths as linked.

Police have cordoned off Pangbourne station and a seven-bedroom detached mansion on Flowers Hill.
At around 11.30am today, forensics were seen to recover a black-handled kitchen knife near Pangbourne station.
A crime scene investigator wearing a white suit was also seen entering a substation, opposite the Aston Martin dealership on Station Road, to photograph, swab and collect the blade.
Neighbours said they rushed to help the woman but she died at the scene at the junction of Tidmarsh Road and Flowers Hill.
