A NEW zip wire in Woodford Park has been temporarily closed less than a week after opening.
The official opening of the zip wire took place on Thursday, June 16 but it has now closed for investigations to be carried out.
Woodley Town Council informed residents about the temporary closure.
In a statement, they said: "The new cable way in Woodford Park is temporarily out of use while we investigate an installation issue.
"The equipment has passed a ROSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) inspection prior to opening, however, we need to close it temporarily as a precaution. We apologise for the inconvenience and will return the equipment to use as soon as possible. The rest of the play area remains open as usual."
