A quirky plot of land near a garden centre is going up for auction at the end of this month.

The very large stretch of land off the B3459 in Shinfield is going under the hammer for a guide price of £35,000 plus fees.

The 0.89 acre plot is being marketed by Symonds and Sampson and will be on sale for auction on Friday, April 29.

Describing the location of the land, which measures approximately 0.89 acres, a spokesperson for Symonds and Sampson said: "This is a rare opportunity to purchase a piece of woodland in a residential area adjoining a number of houses and Dobbies Garden Centre.

Reading Chronicle:

"The land may have some development potential subject to planning permission. The mixed deciduous indigenous woodland includes Ash, Lime, Yew, Oak and Holly."

The land is situated in a good residential area and has good roadside access benefitting from easy access into Reading and London.

It is just a short walk away is Dobbies Garden Centre, a local butcher, a Sainsburys mini and soon to be their largest food hall.
