PROUD parents across Berkshire shared pictures of their children's best costumes for World Book Day.

World Book Day returned for 2022 today with children across the country dressing up as their favourite literary characters.

From the Wizard of Ozz and Gangsta Granny to Peter Pan, the walk to school looked a little different on Thursday, March 3.

The charity event is held annually in the UK and Ireland on the first Thursday of every March.

Schools across the UK make sure children are prepared to arrive in their silliest costumes in celebration of their favourite books.
