A NIGHTCLUB in Reading is hosting a Boris Johnson themed celebration amid allegations the Prime Minister had an indoor birthday party during lockdown.

Q Club in Reading are running an 'Ain't no party like a Johnson party' event on Saturday, January 29.

The first 150 people to enter through the doors will receive a Boris Johnson themed mask to wear on the dance floor.

Covid passports or lateral flow tests will no longer be required as Covid restrictions are scrapped on Thursday, January 27.

The event seems to be have proven popular with hundreds of tickets selling already to revellers.

It comes at a time when another claim has been made that Boris Johnson or his associates held a lockdown-breaking party.

On Monday, ITV News reported that a birthday party was thrown for the prime minister during the first coronavirus lockdown in the UK despite a strict ban on socializing indoors.

The government is already rocked by multiple reports of lockdown-breaking parties in Downing Street since the start of the pandemic.

No 10 has conceded staff “gathered briefly” in the Cabinet Room on the afternoon of June 19, 2020 following a meeting after it was alleged 30 people attended, shared cake, and sang “happy birthday” to the PM, despite social mixing indoors being banned.

Residents in Reading said they felt "sickened" by the allegations as some cancelled their birthday plans to follow the rules set out by the government.
