PCR test appointments are not available in Berkshire this morning.

According to the government's website, there are no appointments for test sites in Berkshire, as of 9am on Wednesday, December 29.

There are no PCR appointments available in other regions across the UK too.

Home tests for the general public are also currently not available, according to the Gov website.

The website says: "Warning. Tests need to go to essential workers first, including NHS and social care staff.

"If you cannot get a test now, try again later. You will not be able to get a test through the helplines."

The lack of appointments comes as the county recorded its highest number of coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic.
