Winter wonderland is back in Reading and dozens of people have already flocked to the attraction.

Fairground rides, Christmas stalls and a Santa’s grotto have turned Hills Meadow in Caversham into an Xmas extravaganza.

Photos taken at the site show a towering Ferris Wheel surrounded a rollercoaster, food stalls, and festive fun.

Approval for the wonderland was not guaranteed this year, with opposition from some neighbors to the plans made by Premier Winter Wonderland Events.

But Reading Borough Council gave them to go-ahead, meaning the Ferris Wheel started turning on Saturday.

The wonderland will serve drinks and play music from 11am to 10pm until January 3, excluding Christmas Day.
