A ROBBERY of a Ladbrokes bookmakers in Reading has prompted police to release CCTV images of men in connection to the crime.

At approximately 10.15am on December 3, 2020, a 26 year old woman working at Ladbrokes, Lambourn, was approached and threatened by two offenders.

The men demanded she hand over money from the store's tills and safe, while one was suspected to be carrying a gun.

The two men then took money from the till and continued to threaten the victim not to press the store's panic button, which would directly alert the police.

In spite of the threats from the offenders, the victim pressed the panic button which caused them to flee the store. They cycled away on mountain bikes.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Petar Stoyanov, of the CID team based at Newbury police station said: “We are releasing CCTV images of two men we believe have information that could help this investigation.

“The woman who was the victim in this situation showed incredible bravery in the face of a highly threatening environment.

“Her actions prevented the offenders continuing with the robbery.
