A MAN and woman from Reading were arrested yesterday following an incident in the town centre.

Six police officers were called to Broad Street at about 2.40pm and were spotted searching a three people.

A 42-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency.

Police said they are currently in custody.

Under criminal law, outraging public decency involves indecent actions or displays that may cause offence to members of the public.

This involves a display which are lewd, obscene or disgusting and take place in public.
