1. MURDER PROBE: Police name woman who was found dead in Reading

THAMES Valley Police have identified the victim at the centre of a murder investigation in Reading. 

Police were called to reports of a woman found dead at a property in Laud Close on Friday, April 30 at about 4.30pm.

Although formal identification has not yet taken place, police said they are satisfied that the victim is Beth Aspey, aged 34.

2. Reading builder found guilty of two counts of child sexual abuse

 

Reading Chronicle:

 

A READING builder has been found guilty of sexually abusing a child under the age of 13.

Martin Collins, of Lower Henley Road, Caversham, received the verdict after a week-long trial last month.

The 65-year-old was found guilty by a jury on two counts of sexually abusing a girl under 13 at a hearing last week.

3. Police give update after fight breaks out at Reading pub

TWO men have been arrested after a fight broke out in Reading on Sunday night.

Thames Valley Police were called to reports of an incident outside The Pheasant Pub on Southampstead Street, Reading on Sunday, May 2.

4. Five pubs in Reading yet to reopen as we edge closer to May 17

5. The six places where Lidl wants to open new stores in Reading

SUPERMARKET chain Lidl has revealed a list of locations where they hope to open across Reading, and five locations are wanted.

The German-owned retailer has rapidly expanded its number of branches in recent years, and the company shows no signs of slowing down in the coming months and years.

The supermarket giant says it plans to double its portfolio’ which already boasts more than 800 sites across the UK.
