A CONFIDENT duck has returned to The Oracle to nest her eggs in front of members of the public.

Two years ago, the mallard was seen nesting in amongst the flowerbeds on the footbridge over the River Kennet in Reading, as the weather started getting warmer.

Passersby noticed how duck was nesting at a high level and dangerous level and people took photos of the unique opportunity to see mother nature in full swing.

The soft soil and thick bed of petunias made it the perfect spot to make a nest.

When ducklings appeared in the nest, The Oracle placed a barrier around to protect her from the public.

Some residents were even concerned about how the ducklings will leave their nest at such a great height.
