A WONDERFUL Christmas snow scene of Royal Berkshire Hospital has been painted onto a shop window in Reading thanking key workers.

The design can be seen on the window of Haslams Estate Agents on Friar Street.

The festive scene was designed by Tom from Snow Windows who spent 12 hours on the design.

Another window shows Santa reading a book and a snowman dancing with a child in the snow.

Snow Windows, based in Sandhurst, Berkshire, was set up in 2015 by Tom and his partner Keri.

Keri explained it started in 2008 when Tom sprayed snow spray on the window at home and drew a house and a hill on it.

From then, Tom started designing villages, trees and people and friends would come over at Christmas time to see what he had created.

The couple moved to Australia with their two children but decided to move back home in 2015 which is when Snow Windows began.

Tom decorates the windows himself and has had requests from as far as the Empire State Building.

He has also created designs for celebrities such as Jamie Oliver and Chris Moyles.

In 2018, the pair featured on Kirstie's Handmade Christmas with TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp.

More recently, Tom was asked to decorate London's Harvey Nichols store which Keri said was one of their highlights.

Speaking about the Christmas design for Haslams Estate Agents, Keri said the shop wanted to thank key workers.

She explained many people have asked for rainbow designs this year in an effort to thank key workers and NHS staff.

As well as decorating windows, the family run business also sells stencils and stickers for people to use at home for Christmas and Halloween.

Next year people will be able to buy reusable stickers for the Queen's Jubilee and there will be the chance to have Valentine's Day and birthday snow scenes.
