This is part of the ongoing smart motorway project and will see resurfacing work taking place on the carriageway.
Highways England said the closure will begin after 8pm on Friday and the motorway will reopen by 6am on Monday.
Construction continues on the £848 million upgrade, which will see 32 miles of motorway converted and is due to be completed in 2022.
