Due to take place in July, Bastille Day Reading is an event that has been bringing people together, providing the quality of French food and entertainment for friends and families.

Organiser Boubacar Dembele, co-founder and director, said: "For the first year since 2012, we have therefore decided to cancel the 2020 Bastille Day Reading due to Covid19 and the unprecedented circumstances it created.

"Your health and safety is very important to us and in the light of current events, it made absolute sense that the festival should not go ahead.

"However, we will come back on the July 10 and 11 2021 to bring some Frenchness to Reading like we never have before."
