Now, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the pharmacy is letting the wider community know they too can use this service, especially if they can’t leave their homes.

Zaid Yousif is the co-owner of the pharmacy alongside Swity Gurung.

Mr Yousif explained before the pandemic, the pharmacy would make between 20 to 30 deliveries a day, but this has more than doubled to 60-70, now.

Orange Pharmacy is a distant selling pharmacy and is based in an office which means no face to face meetings with patients take place.

The pharmacists process patient’s prescriptions that have been sent from GPs before sending requests for medication to suppliers.

Two drivers then deliver medication to residents across Reading.

If you would like to use this service, you can visit the Orange Pharmacy website and click on the ‘Join Us’ section or call 0118 901 7536.

Mr Yousif explained patients can decide to return to their usual pharmacy at any point.
