POLICE are hunting an attempted rape suspect after a teenage woman was sexually assaulted and dragged into the river at knifepoint.
A police cordon has been lifted despite investigations continuing into the sexual assault which happened yesterday morning (February 9) at about 6.30am.

Officers were called to reports of a woman held at knifepoint and dragged into the River Thames in Riverside Park, Scours Lane in Tilehurst, Reading.
The woman in her late teens was approached by a man on Ringwood Road but was later threatened with a knife towards the riverbank.
She was forced to take an unknown pill but she fought back, suffering scratches to her knuckles.

The attacker then proceeded to sexually assault her and attempted to rape her, before dragging her into the river and chucking her bag in it.
No arrests have been made as of yet.
