DRIVERS who ignore flood related road closures could receive a ticket, police have warned.

Thames Valley Police West Berkshire has urged people to avoid driving through Deans Copse Road in Theale due to flooding.

The force explained three cars had already been recovered from the flooded section this morning and people have even tried removing the road signage.

They added: "Tickets will be issued for ignoring the road closure."

Much of Reading has flooded since the River Kennet burst its banks, yesterday, and many road closures have been put in place to keep residents safe.
