HUNDREDS of people gathered for the Broad Street Mall Christmas Lights Switch On, on Saturday (November 16).

There were performances from community entertainers on the main stage and a special visit from Father Christmas and his elves.

The Dame and Cinderella from The Hexagon's panto also made an appearance.

On Sunday, an Elf Station opened to the public for the first time and will remain open every Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 5pm, until December 22.

Entrance to the Elf Station is FREE but will be raising funds for Dingley’s Promise across the festive period so any donations will be greatly received.
