BROAD St. Mall is set to shake things up this year at their annual Christmas Lights Switch On event which will take place on Saturday November 16.

To get everyone in the festive spirit, a host of community entertainers will take to the stage to kick start the event from 2.30pm.

Join the fun and frolics with Neal Veglio at 3.30pm – 4.15pm as he’s accompanied by Father Christmas and his mischievous elves, plus the Dame and Cinderella from the cast of The Hexagon’s Christmas panto, ‘Cinderella’.

Broad St. Mall will also be opening the doors of their Elf Station for a special private charity event for Dingley’s Promise who work with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the early years.

Nicola Williamson, Centre Manager, Broad St. Mall said: “We’re really looking forward to launching Christmas in Reading!

"In collaboration with the BID, our Elf Station is brand new for this year and the first experience of its kind in the town.

"We can’t wait to welcome families into the centre to join in the fun!”

After the launch weekend, the Elf Station will be open every Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 5pm until the December 22.
