The following cases were heard at Reading Magistrates’ Court:

August 30:

MICHELLE HOYLE, 40, of Donnington Square in Newbury, convicted of not being in a designated compulsory ticket area on the train, and failed to hand over a valid ticket in Midgham on February 10. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £8.10 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

ZAHAINA KANON, 22, of Carnarvon Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service without having paid the £25.15 rail fare in Reading on February 11. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £25.15 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

PAUL LINCOLN, 50, of The Crescent, Theale, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service without having paid the £6.60 train fare in Midgham on February 13. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £6.60 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

ELLIOTT O’CONNER, 35, of Kingsbridge Road, Reading, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service without having paid the £3.90 train fare in Reading on June 1. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £2.90 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

SHIRLEY ROGAN, 42, of Crockhamwell Road in Woodley, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service without having paid the £6.60 train fare in Theale on February 11. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £6.60 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

KARE STEVENS, 26, of Newtown Road, Newbury, convicted of travelling on a Great Western Railway service without having paid the £8.10 train fare in Theale on February 20. Fined £440 and ordered to pay £8.10 compensation. Also ordered to pay £44 victim surcharge and £160 court costs.

September 2:

RENE SAMUELS-ROLLINGS, 19, of Parkside Road in Reading, admitted assault by beating in Reading on March 17. Given a community order including rehabilitation requirements and must undertake 160 hours unpaid work. Must also pay £100 compensation.

GRZEEGORZ ZDYBEL, 39, of Barclay Avenue, Reading, admitted being drunk and disorderly in public on September 1 in St Mary’s Butts, Reading. Fined £88 and ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge.

RYAN BUNCE, 22, of no fixed abode, admitted vehicle interference in Reading on April 29 when he interfered with a car with the intention of theft. Sentenced to prison for four weeks due to previous record of offending. Ordered to pay £75 compensation and £115 victim surcharge, plus £200 court costs.

PAUL LYNCH, 56, of Oxford Road, Tilehurst, convicted of failing to stop after a crash on Mapledurham Drive, Purley-on-Thames, on August 29. Fined £692 and ordered to pay £344.40 compensation. Must also pay £69 victim surcharge and £388 court costs.

ROBERT VALLANCE, 54, of Walton Way in Newbury, admitted failing to comply with a community order on May 8 after not attending unpaid work on June 9 and June 30. Fined £120 and ordered to pay £60 court costs.
