POLICE are investigating the unexplained death of a man who was found dead in his home in Reading.

The man was found in his home after officers were called to a property in St Giles Close 11am on Tuesday 27 August.

Thames Valley Police is investigating the unexplained death of a man in Reading.

South Central Ambulance Service were also at the scene but he was pronounced dead.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

The man’s next of kin have been informed.

A scene watch is currently in place while investigations are being carried out.

Detective Chief Inspector David Turton, of Force CID based at Reading police station, said: “At this stage we are treating the death as unexplained and we are investigating the circumstances of how the man died.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area as we conduct enquiries and a scene watch is in place.

“I would also appeal to the public and ask anyone who may have any information to get in touch with police on the non-emergency number 101, or make a report online.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
