RAIL passengers travelling to Reading this morning are facing delays due to points of failure and a blocked line.

The South Western Railway line is affected between London, Staines, Reading, Twickenham and Windsor & Eton Riverside.

National Rail is warning passengers the disruption is likely to last until 10am, this morning (September 3).

The disruption is due to a points failure at Staines, which has blocked some routes.

SWR has tweeted that the points failure at Staines has now been fixed and all lines have now re-opened.

However, services may still be delayed or cancelled, and disruption is still expected through the morning rush hour until 10am.
