A HOUSING provider has achieved a top 100 position in the Sunday Times best companies to work for list.

Stonewater, an affordable homes provider in Reading has ranked 78th for best not-for-profit company to work for.

The company based at Green Park has taken part in the survey since 2016 and has quickly achieved a top 100 position.

Nick Harris, Stonewater's chief executive CEO, said: "I am absolutely delighted to have received this award from the Sunday Times along with many other inspiring organisations.

"I am extremely proud of all our colleagues at Stonewater and I cannot compliment and congratulate them enough for what they have achieved.

"In 2015, when Stonewater was founded, our ambition was to be one of the Best Companies to work for by 2021. To have achieved this goal two years earlier than we had aimed for is a testimony to Stonewater colleagues commitment, dedication and contribution."

The yearly rankings are based on the views of staff and recognises the UK's best employers.

A staggering 32,000 homes are managed by the housebuilder in England, providing affordable properties for general rent, shared ownership and sale.

The company aim to build 1,000 new homes per year from 2019.
