HEAVY metal legends Metallica are the first Main Stage headline act confirmed for Reading Festival 2015.
Indie soloist Jamie T, Pierce The Veil, Wilkinson, Refused, Run The Jewels and Manchester Orchestra are also confirmed for the August bank holiday extravaganza.
Metallica last headlined the Main Stage in 2008, along with The Killers and Rage Against The Machine, while South London born Jamie T played a secret gig at last year’s festival at Little John’s Farm.
On their website Metallica said: “We’re excited to bring you the news that we’ve been asked to return to the legendary Reading and Leeds festival on August 29 and 30. It’s been seven long years and we can’t wait to hit the stage for one of the longest running, most historic rock festivals.”
