STAR performers at Woodley’s Bulmershe Gymnastics Club were recognised at their annual awards ceremony.

With the club’s gymnasts having achieved considerable success competing at local, regional, national and international levels, there were plenty of talented youngsters for the coaches to select from.

Across all the squads, awards were presented for the most improved gymnasts and performers, hardest workers, best conditioners, best attendance, most improved flexibility, highest scoring routines, as well as the coveted 3D awards for ‘Dedication, Determination and Devotion’.

These individual awards were presented to Summer Harkness in the women’s club squad, Renee Augier in the FIG aerobics squad, Alice Hadjlocas in the NAC aerobics squad, and Kaylee Doyle in the women’s artistic squad for their collective positive attitudes, fantastic role models and commitment to their sport and teammates.

In the men’s squad, the equivalent award, the Artistic Star, was presented to Ben Neville for his potential and his unquestionable work ethic.

The club also recognised the achievements of the many volunteers as well as the coaches.

Dave Gordon was named as coach of the year, with his efforts the driving force behind many of the new and exciting developments at Bulmershe – as well as coaching his own men’s artistic squad.
