HIGHMOOR Ibis won 33-17 against Thunderbirds in the Reading & District Netball League.
In the first quarter both team’s shooters were on top form, with Highmoor goal attack, Vic White, netting all of her shots as they led 7-6.
Excellent cross-court play from Leni Robbins (WA) and Sharon Deller (C) plus superb shooting from Aviva Harwood saw Highmoor, right, increase their lead to 16-8 at half time.
They widened the gap to 12 points in the third with substitute Izzy Thompsett (WA) prominent as Thunderbirds failed to turn chances into goals.
Another assured display in the final quarter saw Highmoor home, with Harwood named heir player of the match and Jade Evans taking the Thunderbirds honours.
