Two clubs were booked onto Kennet & Avon canal at Salmon Cut.

On the A section were Bracknell Avocets who coaxed nine anglers out for the match.

The venue’s larger perch were the main target and one of 2lbs 13ozs helped Terry Smith win with 3lbs in total. Chris Kaye took second with a perch of 1lb 3ozs and third went to Martin Connelly with one of 10ozs.

Reading Civil Service were on the B section where Ian Marcham needed only 1lb 9ozs that included a perch of 1lb 7ozs to win. The weights fell away badly then with Richard Munday needing only 4ozs to claim second.

Courage SE chose the Wallingford A section of the Thames. This is a banker venue when the water has taken a couple of frosts.
