NIALL Keown has joined Scottish Premiership club Partick Thistle on loan for the rest of the season.

Keown, 21, has made six appearances for Royals U23s and the Checkatrade Trophy team after recovering from a broken foot.

But the Republic of Ireland Under 21 international is struggling for first-team games under Jaap Stam.

He linked up with Partick’s training camp in La Manga and played in a friendly against Belgian side Lokeren.

Meanwhile, fellow Academy product Jack Stacey has will also see out the remainder of the campaign with loan club Exeter City.

Stacey, 20, has played 20 times for League 2 Grecians this season and has become a regular at right-back following injury to on-loan Royal, Pierce Sweeney.

Meanwhile, Craig Tanner (Plymouth) and Tariqe Fosu (Colchester) will remain out on loan until the end of the season.

Academy players Jake Sheppard (Dagenham), Harrison Bennett (Margate), Harry Cardwell (Brighton U23s) and Joe Tupper (Carshalton) have also been loaned out.
