READING FC target Yann Kermorgant admits his future at AFC Bournemouth is uncertain, writes Anthony Smith.

Royals are being heavily linked with the 34-year-old Frenchman as they look to find a replacement for top scorer Nick Blackman.

Blackman joined Championship rivals Derby County in a £4 million deal recently and he could soon be followed out of the Madejski Stadium exit door by Orlando Sa.

Portuguese striker Sa, 27, appears to be close to joining AEK Athens on loan after struggling for games under boss Brian McDermott.

Sa was an unused substitute during Saturday's shock 1-0 defeat at MK Dons, with McDermott sending on Simon Cox instead as his side searched for an equsaliser.

McDermott may now turn to Kermorgant in a bid to strengthen up front, though Reading face competition from Hull City for his signature.

Kermorgant has yet to start a Premier League game this season, though he came of the bench during the closing stages of Bournemouth's 3-0 win over Norwich City on Saturday.

He told the Bournemouth Echo: “The reception meant a lot and it was quite emotional because I don’t exactly know what is going to happen in the future for me.

“You never know, it might have been my last game, it might not have been, I just can’t say.

“The fans have always been amazing with me and have given me great support. At the moment, I am still at the club and will do my best to be as good as I can and give the maximum, like I always do. We will have to see what happens.

“If I stay, I will be happy. If I move, I will move. I don’t know yet. At the moment, I am I here and I enjoy every minute of it.

“I want to play. I have still got a few years left in my legs and I don’t just want to train and watch my team-mates play.

“It is a tough decision for me and my family but I will take the best one for us.

"I will speak with the manager and we will take the best decision for him and for me. We have a good relationship and it is not a problem so we will talk and see what we can do.

“It is frustrating not to be playing but that is football and I know you have to take it.

"I would need a few starts to prove myself but can’t expect to get four starts in a row to give me a chance to be get my match fitness.

“Maybe I could have had a chance at the start of the season but it didn’t happen. Now, it is difficult for me to get back in the team.”

Kermorgant has dropped down the Cherries' pecking order following the arrival of record signing and ex-Royals loanee Benik Afobe from Wolves and Lewis Grabban from Norwich City.

Bournemouth will be eager to make a profit on the £400,000 they paid Charlton for his services in January 2014.

Kermorgant, whose 15 goals helped Cherries win the Championship last season, signed a new deal until summer 2017 recently.

He added: “Fans never forget what you have done so, hopefully, even if I finish and my time ends here, I hope I will have left something good at the club.

"I know the fans would never forget and it would be the same for me.”

Meanwhile, Reading are thought to be close to signing George Evans from Manchester City.

The 21-year-old can play in midfield or central defence and has been loaned out to Crewe, Scunthorpe and Walsall in the past.
