THE penultimate Tom Evans Foursomes at Calcot Park was won by John Timney and Don Freeman with 44 stableford points, four clear of James Darvall and Keith Harris who were runners-up on count back from four other pairs.

The better-ball stableford mixed Valentines competition that was rescheduled due to snow was won by Ann Davies and Jock Douglas with 47 points.

Sandy Miller and Steve Cox were second on 43 points with Mary Harwood and Kevin Wilkins one point behind in third place.

  • DARREN Bonney was in scintillating form in winning Division One of the February Midweek Stableford at Caversham Heath.

Bonney (6hcp) scored 42 points (halves of 20 and 22 points), recording 14 pars and two birdies – including one under par on the back nine.

Runner-up was Santiago Fernandez-Garcia (12hcp) with 38 points and third was John Davies (18hcp) with 37 points.

Division Two winner was Tony Flood (23hcp) with 38 points. John Endersby (19hcp) was second with 37 points and third was Jonathon Clark (21hcp) with 36 points.

Twos were recorded by Andrew Aspell (8th hole) and by Scott Iremonger and Mervyn Jones (both on the 17th hole).
