Kidmore - who failed to win during the opening 11 games of the season - have now won two consecutive games to improve their survival hopes.

Hafeez Ul Wahab (3-43 in 17 overs) was their bowling star on Saturday as he restricted Marlow to 186-5, despite a superb unbeaten 99 from Graham Paskins and 37 from Simon Carter.

Opener Joe Dixon (64) continued his resurgent form to give End a solid base, before Abid Ul Wahab’s 39 furthered their cause.

However a Cameron Denton (6-58) hat-trick accounted for the pair and Zac Leonard, and eventually it was left to Alex Crawford and Hafeez to steer their side to a vital success.

Kidmore End will aim for a hat trick of victories when they entertain league leaders Eversley this coming Saturday.

Title-chasing Hurst continued their march towards Division 3a glory with a six wicket victory against Royal Ascot.

Captain Nick Sweetman (45) top scored for his side but they were shot out for 133 with Lewis Smith (5-32), Nick Reynolds (3-28) and Phil Higgs (2-59) turning the screw.

In reply Greg Smith (72) passed 50 for the fifth consecutive innings to lead his team to a comfortable victory.

The result leaves Hurst 17 points clear of second placed Wargrave after the latter picked up a 64 run win at rock bottom Theale & Tilehurst.

Wargrave elected to bat and were dismissed for 146, before a remarkable spell from Huw Thomas (9-46) - who now has 36 wickets this season - saw Theale routed for just 78.

Fellow spinner Euan Woods deprived Thomas of the chance to take all 10 by picking up the other wicket.

Purley-on-Thames remain in the relegation zone after they suffered a narrow 12 run defeat at home to Wokingham 2nds.

Paul Reber (5-32) was helped by four wickets from Caleb Maycock as the Potters dismissed the visitors for just 136, but a dreadful batting collapse saw Purley fall to 124 all out and a disappointing loss.

Struggling Hurst 2nds were put to the sword at Princes Risborough as they were thrashed by 222 runs in Division 5a.

The hosts batted first and posted a massive 288-5, before skittling Hurst for 60.

Purley-on-Thames 2nds climbed out of the relegation zone with an impressive five wicket win at fellow strugglers Maidenhead & Bray 2nds.

The hosts got off to a fast start before three wickets apiece from Cyril Cox and Zameer Khan helped dismiss Maidenhead for just 166.

The Potters reply began in disastrous fashion when captain James Measham and fellow opener Peter Rackley were knocked over cheaply, and they later slumped to 28-4.

However a magnificent unbeaten 87 from Raj Senniappan - which included five maximums - was enough to carry his side home and he appropriately sealed victory by clearing the ropes to take his side to 172-5.

Kidmore End 2nds secured their first Division 6b win of the season in style with a 10 wicket destruction of Theale & Tilehurst 2nds at Gallowstree Common.

Assad Ul Haq grabbed four wickets for End as they restricted T&T to 222-7 in their 52 overs, before a sparkling opening stand of 168 between Mark New (117*) and Chris Pigden (61*) wrested the initiative for the hosts.

Although Pigden was forced to retire with a calf injury, Cameron Livingston-Smith ensured there was no let up as Kidmore rounded off an excellent day for the club.

Table-toppers Wargrave 2nds sealed an emphatic seven wicket win in their Division 7a clash with Royal Ascot 3rds.

Adit Rajeev (5-18) produced an excellent spell to limit Ascot to 125 all out, and Sam Bowers (58*) then led his side home in just 17.1 overs.

Theale & Tilehurst 3rds look doomed to relegation after they lost to their nearest rivals Bagshot 3rds by 87 runs.

T&T would have been reasonably content to restrict their opponents to 179-9, but then suffered a horrow batting show as they were skittled for just 92 to leave them 30 points adrift from safety.

Struggling Kidmore End 3rds fell to a six wicket defeat against Chesham 4ths in Division 8b.

The End won the toss and chose to bat but were shot out for a mere 133, and the hosts had no problem in chasing that down in less than 25 overs.

Wargrave 3rds edged a fascinating one wicket triumph against Princes Risborough 2nds in a low-scoring Division 9b classic.

Wargrave bowled the visitors out for 109 after asking them to bat, but only just squeezed over the finish line for the loss of nine wickets.
