The traditional blue and white hoops are featured all the way round the home kit, which also features trademarks of older Royals shirts including a buttoned white collar.
The away top is mainly navy blue with a red trim and collar, while the goalkeeper’s top is a dark pink.
All of the kit is manufactured by Puma, and features the club sponsor Waitrose on the front.
The Skybet logo - which sponsors the Championship - will not feature on any replica shirt bought by anyone under the age of 18 years.
Reaction to the new-look home shirt was positive on Twitter, with Anthony Kendrick writing: “Hoops, retro collar - yeah, big fan.”
Chris Venning added: “Loving the new Reading FC home shirt!”
However the goalkeeper’s shirt seems less popular, as @YouthGoneWild81 said: “I’m not sure what Reading FC were thinking when they decided on the new goalie kit! #IWouldntWearItAndImAGirl”.
Order your kits from the Reading FC website at www.readingfc.co.uk. or visit the Madejski Stadium megastore.
